The stitching step is the phase in which all the components of the shoe, get joined by seams or stitching, for being later attached to the lining, the person performing this step needs having a lot of skill as well as knowledge about pattern-making and also about shoe manufacturing as it is the link between the designer / patternmaker and manufacturing phase. (it is essential that each piece is sewn to the other in the same place and with the same inclination for which they were designed).
This work is usually done by women, and are called stitchers (we say APARADORAS, because this step is called APARADO in spanish).
